About Dr. Coi

Dr. Corazon Almira "Coi" Mella is a board certified dermatologist who has been trained both locally and internationally. She did her three year residency training in dermatology at Makati Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident and graduated Most Outstanding Resident. She ranked 8th in the Philippine Dermatological Society diplomate examination.

She then pursued further training under the International Society of Dermatology for hair disorders with Dr. Leopoldo Santos from Brazil and did a one year fellowship training on hair restoration surgery in Bangkok, Thailand under the supervision of Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich (accredited by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery). ​She is one of the two certified diplomates for hair restoration surgery in the country under the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. 

Currently, she heads the Hair Disorders and Hair Restoration Surgery unit of Makati Medical Center.

Dr. Coi has authored several case studies and research on vitiligo, platelet rich plasma, autoimmune disorders and hair transplantation. She has received the Rising Star award for Hair Restoration Surgery from the World Congress of Dermatology.
